NAMSOV Fishing Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, is the operating company of Bidfish (Bidvest Fisheries Holdings (Pty) (Limited), the holding company of the fish division of Bidvest Namibia.

NAMSOV Fishing Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, which has four subsidiaries namely Twafika Fishing Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, Namibian Sea Products (Pty) Ltd, Trachurus Fishing (Pty) Ltd, Tetelestai Mariculture (Pty) Ltd and NAMSOV Industrial Properties (Pty) Ltd, is a Namibian company and the majority shareholders are Namibians.

These companies are known as the “NAMSOV Group of Companies”. The NAMSOV Group of Companies is engaged in various sectors of the fishing industry in Namibia offering a wide range of products which include frozen horse-mackerel, canned pilchards, other canned products, fishmeal, fish oil and oysters. We also have shareholding in a company in Angola, which is engaged in frozen, fresh and dried sardinella, horse-mackerel, fishmeal and fish oil.

All our companies own and operate their own vessels in the different sectors of the industry as well as the shore based operational premises which are well suited for our needs.

The NAMSOV Group of Companies perceives its personnel as its most important asset and therefore invests in various training programmes to ensure that Namibians are equipped to conduct skilled and industry specific jobs. The NAMSOV Community Trust, which is a shareholder in NAMSOV Fishing Enterprises (Pty) Limited, has sponsored and assisted various upliftment and development projects in all regions of Namibia.
